Winemakers’ comments

The wine has a brilliant deep ruby colour, complex nose of black cherries, violets, mocca, with a hint of classic French oak. The pallet is long with black berry fruit over a backbone of silky tannins which will enhance a long development in the bottle.

Vinification

From Bartinney’s select parcels of the Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard, we have chosen the best barrels to create the foundation for ‘Elevage’. Harmonised with Petit Verdot, Malbec and Merlot, this wine captures the essence of the vintage.

The Blend: 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Petit Verdot, 5% Merlot, 5% Malbec

The different cultivars were matured in French oak barrels for 12 months of which 50% was new. After blending, it spent another 6 months in the same barrels.

*Minimum orders of 6 bottles (one case) are required.
