Saturdays are made for good company, and a splash of wine. As summer comes knocking, last Saturday we Under the Sun – a full afternoon of good music, wine and smiles.
With a new stage constructed under our Elevage sculpture, surrounded by our fynbos jungle, Paige Mac opened up the proceedings with her intoxicating soul. In the mix were her beautiful original songs and some well-loved covers all in a wonderfully tuneful, individual style. Following Paige were Bartinney regulars Taleswapper, whose husky tones and laid back vibe were a winner with the crowd.
We are pleased to announce that Under the Stars is returning and it will be bigger and better than ever. Throughout the summer, we will be hosting a variety of acts on our new stage, as the sun sets. Sign up, to keep tuned in to our news, or follow us on Facebook, so that you are the first to know about our events.
But, before that happens… we’re hosting a Halloween party for you. Join us on the 27th October from 5pm onwards (bookings aren’t essential, but are advised: firstname.lastname@example.org).
Expect some bumps and base in the night, as we welcome our wicked live entertainment acts, who will be ‘creepin’ it real’. We’re in for tricks, and there will be plenty of potion based treats and ghouslishly good food. Just watch out for what is around the corner, in our two-story house of terror.
The night seems only fitting, as Bartinney takes it’s name from ‘Tinne’, which means holly bush. The Druid people of yester-year burnt the trees on Halloween signaling the end of the year and the start of the next.
For just R50 on-the-door, you will be greeted with a glass of our savagely satan punch and a ton of ghostly goodness. Blow away the cobwebs, gather together your favourite zombies, put on your ghoulishly glamorous glad rags and join us for a night of hedonism.
