The beautifully restored self-catering vineyard guesthouses are ideal for a restful Wineland getaway. Luxurious and authentic, they boast contemporary, eclectic farmhouse charm and classic Cape features. We aim to make every stay with us memorable, providing a welcoming, personalised service and a homely atmosphere. Whether you would like a stay for one – six people, or would like to rent all of the guest houses together, we’ve got an option for you.
The historic working wine estate enjoys unrivalled panoramic views of the Drakenstein and Simonsberg mountain ranges. The estate itself lies on the Botmaskop mountain, with slopes and hand-tended vines and indigenous fynbos.
The estate is just 15 minutes from the heart of Stellenbosch and 30 minutes from Franschhoek. Head to the tasting shed on the estate to enjoy the Bartinney wines and unrivalled views, walk amongst the vines, hike through the estate’s winding trails, and try some of the Cape’s finest restaurants that are just a stone’s throw away.
All cottages are fully equipped, have Wifi, Netflix, Streaming and are self-catering.

Candlewood Cottage
The newest Bartinney cottage is ready.
Candlewood is home to light and bright furniture, teamed with bold and dynamic mirrors and splashes of paint. It features a newly restored double – aspect ceiling, reinforced by the beams crafted from farm wood.
Whatever the weather the space can be enjoyed – with a terrace complete with a braai for hotter months and a fire for the Cape winter. The cottage charm is enhanced by personal touches, with old Jordaan family potraits and a desk, which has been converted into the kitchen island. The cottage has two double bedrooms, and a luxurious bathroom.
