The launch of Bartinney Leisure heroes the sense of place of the diverse, dynamic and activity-based wine estate. It embraces the active nature of Western Cape living and tourism. At the heart of Bartinney is wine, its relationship with time well spent and the spectacular Banhoek biosphere, which is home to the vines and the estate. The family run farm consistently works to conserve the rich mountain biodiversity and the unique terroir of the high-altitude viticulture – ‘Wine Made on a Mountain’.

Under the umbrella sit the newly renovated, double aspect, luxurious vineyard and coastal guest cottages. Skyfall the steep, winding trail well-loved by cyclists and trail runners alike. Popular sporting events such as the Bartinney2Bartinney trail run, as well as the Banhoek Conservancy, which strives to socially uplift poorer communities and protect the environment of the Banhoek Valley, of which Bartinney is founding member.

Bartinney Leisure joins the Tasting Shed and The Bartinney Wine & Champagne Bar, Stellenbosch in the Bartinney portfolio.

Skyfall:

The Skyfall trail winds into the mountains, giving trail runners, cyclists and walkers outstanding views over the estate and the wider valley. Its namesake has been given to the premium, small-lot Skyfall Cabernet Sauvignon. Like the trail itself, the wine has a protective outlook over the estate and all of the wines in the range.

Vineyard Cottages:

When established in 1912, the founder of Bartinney considered the estate to enjoy the most stunning view in the world. The Jordaan family and the Bartinney team recognise this unique beauty and are always seeking out new ways to share their dramatic and biodiverse surroundings.
